Budget Analyst
The FDA is responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety, efficacy, and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, our nations food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation. The FDA also provides accurate, science-based health information to the public.
Amberly Plummer is currently a Budget Analyst with the Food and Drug Administration. She joined the Department of Health and Human Services in November 2009 as an Execution Budget Analyst in the Office of the Secretary’s Assistant Secretary for Financial Resources Division. In this role, Amberly executed current fiscal year appropriated funds to ensure ADA compliance. During this time she managed two StaffDiv accounts totaling over $30 million. Currently, Amberly works in the Office of the Budget as a Program Analyst managing multi billions in appropriated funds. Before joining the Department of Health and Human Services, Amberly worked as an Administrative Assistant for the State of North Carolina’s Education Lottery. Her background includes various accomplishments in financial management, public administration, research, and consulting. She received her Master of Public Administration from North Carolina Central University in 2008, and her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Political Science from North Carolina Central University in 2003.
