Essential provides oilfield services to oil and natural gas producers, primarily in western Canada. Essential offers completion, production and abandonment services to a diverse customer base.
-Proven leadership, organizational and implementation skills -Payroll staff management -Collaborative leadership style including coaching, mentoring and skill development -Utilize performance evaluations to emphasis team based goals and high quality standards -Analytical problem solver -Strong aptitude for learning new processes, computer programs and systems -Strong process evaluation and documentation skills -Able to understand big picture concepts and apply these to day to day processes -System configuration and testing for year end and ongoing changes -Designing and implementing new processes (with an emphasis on organizational change management) - multiple system implementations, some of the systems: ROSS (NOW Solutions), PDS (Vista), JDE, SAP, Great Plains, Avanti, Spira -Experience with multi union environments, salaried and educational payrolls -Responsible for all aspects of salaried and hourly payrolls ranging from 150 – 15,000 + employees across most provinces/territories, including Quebec -Thorough knowledge of Canadian tax and payroll legislation and HR policies as well as LAPP pension -Completed all year end balancing and T4, T4A, RL-1 and RL-2 preparation -Ensure GL entries are correct and balanced
