Co-founder, Chairman, and CEO of Enviva, the world’s leading producer of sustainable wood bioenergy. At Enviva, our mission is to displace coal, grow more trees, and fight climate change. Since our founding in 2004, I’ve been privileged to lead an exceptional team of people who are committed to solving one of the greatest challenges of our time. The company I had the opportunity to take public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2015 is now comprised of 1,100 dedicated associates spanning the globe from Washington, DC to the United Kingdom, from Tokyo to Berlin, and in cutting edge wood pellet production plants and deep water terminals all across the southeast US. We are all driven by a shared vision and belief that, by doing our jobs right, we can keep forests healthy, produce value-added products, create strong communities, and remove carbon from the atmosphere. At Enviva, we’re doing well by doing good, and I believe the work we do today will lead to a better tomorrow.
