Yaning has thorough knowledge of the world of healthcare IT. His past experiences include database administration, performance tuning, and infrastructure designs of proprietary and open source databases alike. He also has experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining infrastructure through the infrastructure-as-code philosophy. His interest with healthcare IT started out with Epic, where he worked with various hospitals on ETL processes of large EHR datasets. From there, he developed a passion in database performance, along with core knowledge of software development. Epic, being a giant in the US healthcare world, taught Yaning background on healthcare IT, and showed him problems that exists with the healthcare world today. After Epic, Yaning moved back to San Francisco Bay Area to be on the forefront of the technological world. He joined Doximity hoping that he can make a difference to our physician's lives. Yaning expanded his skill set from database and data related into much more general software development and operations. He is currently solidifying Doximity's infrastructure with the DevOps team.
