Simon has been working as a Quality Assurance Manager for over 16yrs across many sectors including: Government (National Insurance, Tax- SA/VAT, Ministry of Justice, Land registry), Banking (Barclays, Commonwealth Bank), Insurance(IAG), Telco(iinet, NBN), Retail (Boots), Rail (NSW State, Victoria State), Airports (Sydney Airport), Utilities (Sydney Water), Construction (Lend Lease) His initial role was Technical Tester then rapidly working up to Solution / Program Test Manager within 4yrs. The largest of his programs was working with both onshore and offshore teams with just over 100 testing staff. His main specialist areas are Process Improvement, Quality Assurance, Stakeholder Management and tackling challenging projects using the latest technologies and methodologies. Simon has had the fortune to Manage Teams under Waterfall, V- Model and Agile methodologies through the full SDLC including: System Test, System Integration Testing, Disaster Recovery & Performance Testing, Accessibility Testing, Regression using Automation, User Acceptance Testing and Business Verification Testing. Although Simon's roles can be very demanding and challenging, I feel fortunate as I really enjoy my career and find it very rewarding.
