Diakon: Many Hands, guided by One Heart, that daily transform the lives of thousands of children, youths, families, and older adults through programs ranging from adoption, foster care and at-risk youth services to counseling and comprehensive senior living communities. Dating to 1868, Diakon aids people of all faiths through compassionate service, gracious hospitality, and charitable care.

Effective December 31, I will be retired from Diakon.I have enjoyed my work at Diakon and its affiliates. The organization is committed to serving peeople and the accomplishments and service to thousands each year simply amazes me. In 2013, Diakon's community benefit, primarily comprised of benovelent care totaled $18 million. In my role as treasurer I have been able to devote focused time to management of the investment portfolio ans well as the funds held in trust by others. These assets and their returns over time, are critical to the organization's ability to sustain this level of benevolent support. I am grateful for the support I have received from so many and look forward to the possibilities that an active retirement has to offer
