Work experience in Innovation Management, Strategy, Project Management and Business Development in the fields of: Telecommunications and Technology, Cloud Computing, e-health, Big Data, Smart Cities, Digital Economy, Start Ups, Fast Moving Consumer Goods and Civil Engineering. Experience in R&D&Innovation funding programs (FP7, Horizon2020, QREN, Portugal2020), including experience in project reviews at the European Commission in Brussels. Currently, Carlos coordinates the Innovation and Strategy team at Grupo Nabeiro / Delta Cafés Innovation Centre. Academic experience includes an INSEAD General Management Programme for Executives, an European PhD, a Master and a five years Degree in Civil Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico - University of Lisbon. International experience includes period at INSEAD Fontainebleau, and part of the PhD program in Italy, during 2 years and 6 months at Università degli Studi di Pavia. Carlos has several papers published in international peer reviewed journals as well as book chapters, being speaker at international and national conferences, and University Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico and at Faculty of Science and Technology of the New University of Lisbon. At the beginning of his career, Carlos worked as Civil Engineer, mainly designing building structures, in two construction companies.
