Building a Community of High Performing Guest Teachers\r\n\r\nThe Charter Substitute Teacher Network (CSTN) provides passionate and skilled guest educators to enhance student learning using a seamless system for school partners because every minute matters.

2015-present: Asked to join Kokua Education as partner and Vice President to help scale the company. We help schools find high quality substitute teachers - on average students spend one full year with subs by the time they graduate. I oversee all operations and marketing and co-lead strategy and business development. 2013-15: Worked as Education Specialist at bgC3 (now called Gates Ventures) to develop and scale the Big History Project (BHP). Helped grow program from 30 schools to over 1,000. Featured as a keynote speaker at the Macquarie University Future of Education Conference to present BHP. The course has been featured in New York Times Magazine, Business Insider, Getting Smart, and elsewhere. 2012-13: Earned a full scholarship and Master's in Social Policy at London School of Economics; graduated with Merit. Summer 2012: Selected as only intern to join bgC3 (now called Gates Ventures). Developed curriculum content, course LMS instance, marketing collateral, and teacher training content for the Big History Project. 2009-12: Among 3,500/35,000 selected to join Teach For America (TFA). Taught 1st and 2nd grade in NE D.C. while earning a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. In my third year was Promoted to be an instructional coach and part of school leadership team. Selected to be in TFA's entrepreneurship program. Ideated a venture that was presented to TFA's executive team. 2009: Graduated on full scholarship from University of San Diego with multiple honors including Phi Beta Kappa and Political Science Major of the Year.
