Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford is the only hospital in the state devoted exclusively to the care of children. The 135-bed facility serves approximately 150,000 children each year in specialty clinics, the emergency department, and inpatient units. It is the largest pediatric primary care service for children between Boston and New York. As a teaching hospital, it is the home of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine residency program in pediatrics.
