Aaron Bowman is a servant leader to the Jacksonville community and the U.S. Navy. He has overseen bringing hundreds of companies to Northeast Florida and creating over 15,000 quality jobs for the region. He served eight years on Jacksonville City Council representing the 75,000 constituents of District Three and was elected President by his peers. He has held leadership roles at all levels of various organizations within the United States Navy, Chamber of Commerce, and Jacksonville Government. Aaron graduated from the United States Naval Academy and began his career as a pilot at Cecil Field in Jacksonville flying the F/A-18 Hornet and A-7 Corsair. He later became Commanding Officer at Naval Station Mayport, the third-largest Naval Station in the United States. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master in Business Administration from Embry-Riddle University. Aaron, his wife Deborah and son Blaise have lived in the Jacksonville area for more than 25 years. Aaron retired as a Navy Captain with numerous awards, including the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation and Navy Commendation Medal. Currently, Aaron serves as the JAXUSA Partnership’s Senior Vice President of Business Development, working every day to grow Jacksonville’s economy. He seeks to recruit jobs to Jacksonville, focusing on aerospace and advanced manufacturing, financial services, transportation and logistics, and life sciences.
