I'm an enthusiastic life-long learner and a leader who embraces challenges that help me to broaden my perspective with the goal of maximizing local impact. I began my career as a lawyer and built a thriving practice premised on the goal of over-delivering for my clients through understanding the complexities of their businesses , providing advice and counseling support to enable their unique needs, and serving as the public face of organizations ranging from family-owned to growing start ups to established Fortune 100 global companies. Since re-joining Cochlear in 2011, I have built and led teams responsible for functions including Legal/Compliance/Privacy, People & Culture, Advocacy/Government Affairs/Reimbursement and Facilities and have overseen and/or been a part of key organizational initiatives ranging from evolving company culture, to overhauling the performance management process, to preserving reimbursement for a key product line, to supporting customers through a product recall, to designing and delivering a new regional headquarters that drives a target culture through space planning, to navigating through the pandemic response. My latest challenge - establishing a personal and professional home base in Europe and becoming part of Cochlear's EMEA executive leadership team in the role of Vice President, People & Culture. Globally and regionally, I'm excited to be part of the ongoing evolution of our culture, transforming our P&C function, our expanding Diversity & Inclusion initiatives including promoting and championing Women in Leadership, building networks and pathways to help promote career development and progression and supporting our workforce through initiatives to encourage holistic wellness. Moving to a new continent in the midst of a pandemic has required a strong foundation of resilience to be able to adapt and thrive in this rapidly changing environment, and I'm excited for the next chapter!
