David brings 19 years track record in the hospitality industry with an extensive experience in strategy, asset management and development. David's strong financial and analytical background complements his cross-cultural negotiation skills acquired by negotiating and closing deals across Europe, Africa, India, Turkey and the Middle East. David has extensive experience both in Mergers and Acquisitions and in organic development, from budget to luxury, from business hotels to integrated resorts and mixed use developments, with several leading European and American groups (Starwood, Accor, Whitbread, MGM,…). Since 2012, David serves as Senior Vice President Development Middle East, Africa and India for Premier Inn International, a division of Whitbread focused on developing business hotels in key destinations around the world. David is based in Premier Inn’s Dubai office. Prior to this, David held the position of SVP Middle East & North Africa for MGM Hospitality where he was responsible for leading the development strategy throughout the region. Prior to his role with MGM Hospitality, David held the position as Head of Development for Majid Al Futtaim Hospitality based in Dubai, UAE for 4 years. Before joining Majid Al Futtaim, David spent 7 years at Accor. He was most recently Head of Development and Strategy in the Middle East, where he designed and implemented the development and investment strategy for the region. He had previously held the role of Director of Mergers and Acquisitions for Accor based in Europe and during this time he served as Chairman and Member of the Supervisory board for Orbis Hotels in Poland. Earlier in his career, David participated in Sheraton Hotel and Resort’s Management Training Program. David has a Masters in Business Administration from the J. L. Kellogg School of Management - Northwestern University, USA. He is also a graduate with a degree in Engineering from Grande Ecole D’Ingenieurs Paris-Laval (ESIEA), France.
