Karen M. Walker is senior vice president and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Intel Corporation. She is responsible for building and strengthening Intel’s brand, accelerating growth strategies in both new and existing markets, and engaging customers and partners with a compelling experience. Karen is a globally recognized CMO and business leader. She has more than 30 years of technology leadership experience in both the consumer and enterprise market segments. She brings a global perspective to every role, having lived and led teams in the U.K., Asia, and the Americas. As their CMO, Karen was a key leader in Cisco's business model transformation to a software/cloud services company. where she focused on high-growth cloud services in networking, cybersecurity, and collaboration for businesses and consumers. She led the repositioning of Cisco's brand, where the brand value increased by 16% in just three years to $34.6B, ranking #15 on Interbrand’s Best Global Brands list. Leading the most successful product launch in Cisco's history, Karen helped to reignite the networking category. She also transformed marketing to become a revenue-generating function. Karem joined Cisco from Hewlett-Packard, where she held both business and consumer leadership positions, including P&L responsibility.
