Metallurgical Engineer with over 28 years of experience, achievement oriented and knowledgeable of implementation and use of Total Quality Control and Continuous Improvement Techniques, having worked as a company Designated Engineering Representative (DER) on behalf of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) since 2008. Versed in repair development and reverse engineering processes for gas turbine engine components with VARIG Brazilian Airlines, Chromalloy Gas Turbine LLC AND Thomas Instrument, Inc. Extensive knowledge of high temperature vacuum furnace brazing and heat treatments (to include thermal resizing of various components), soldering, manual and robotic GTAW (formerly TIG) welding, electron beam welding, manual and robotic thermal spray (to include flame spray, plasma spray and high velocity oxy-fuel - HVOF - systems), shot and glass bead peening, metalwork, conventional and CNC turning, milling, boring, grinding, electrical discharge machining, and high pressure waterjet stripping of thermal sprayed coatings.
