Mary Guinee has over 35 years of progressive experience in environmental consulting, including 30 years of leading, directing, managing and conducting Environmental Assessments of commercial and industrial properties. Mary leads multi-discipline teams in addressing clients' fatal flaw/site selection screening (go/no go) processes, and engineering, environmental and ecological due diligence and conceptual planning concerns during property transactions and commercial and industrial land development projects. Mary is especially adept at providing diverse approaches to brownfield and urban redevelopment projects. Mary serves a broad client base in all our primary markets: Real Estate, Power (generation, transmission and solar), Solid Waste, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Mining, and Public Sector. Mary is a Vice President and the Strategic Development Officer for the firm. In 2017, she was appointed to CEC's board of directors. Mary also serves on CEC's Operations Committee. Mary is a top-performing technical consultant with a proven ability to drive business. She is a strategic thinker who can plan and implement business initiatives to support office and corporate growth objectives. Mary has particularly strong relationship management, team building, and general business acumen; and a verifiable track record of success within highly competitive markets. She is ambitious, assertive, and intensely adept at building long term relationships within a large client base. Ms. Guinee is a well-known and respected individual in the business community of Pittsburgh. She is past president of the Pittsburgh Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), past president and founding board member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of CoreNet (Association for Corporate Real Estate Executives), and was selected as a winner of a 2013 BusinessWoman First Award by the Pittsburgh Business Times, which goes to twenty-five of the most accomplished businesswomen in the Pittsburgh region. In April 2014, she also served as one of only 40 women asked by the Business Times to participate in a mentoring program that provided coaching for local women interested in finding mentors for their careers. The 40 women selected all have had successful careers in business, government and nonprofits. Ms. Guinee is past Co-Chair of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Women’s Leadership Initiative, and she continues as a member of the Steering Committee. In addition, Mary is a frequent speaker on real estate due diligence and environmental assessment-related topics.
