Finance Director

Bunzl plc is focused and successful international distribution and outsourcing group with operations across the Americas, Europe and Australasia.

I am currently a Finance Director with Bunzl, the multinational specialist distributor. I look after two of their businesses based in Northern Ireland. I will soon be leaving this role to move with my family to Galway to be closer to my wife's parents. I am looking for a challenging Managing Director or Finance Director role that makes the maximum use of my skills and experience. I am also keen for opportunities to utilise my Chartered Director training and contribute on boards in a paid or voluntary basis. My career has been built around the vision of bringing finance back into the centre of the business with the ultimate aim of being able to lead a business to sustained profitable growth using financially aware thinking, techniques and culture. I believe the ultimate aim of a business is maximising the sustained Return on the Investment: • Sustained by investment in people and a focus on creating unique value for the customer. • Maximised with all staff financially aware and appreciative of their role in creating value. • Dependent upon the continued exploitation of learning and technology to enhance productivity and create a competitive advantage that is impossible or too expensive to copy.
