Debbie Cavalier, who 16 years ago was a pivotal leader in the creation of Berklee Online—now the largest and most highly regarded online music college in the world—is Berklee's senior vice president of online learning and continuing education, and CEO of Berklee Online. Under Debbie’s leadership, Berklee Online has 1. Added the Bachelor of Professional Studies degree with eight majors including the world's first fully online guitar major; 2. Introduced Berklee's massive open online courses (MOOCs) in partnership with Coursera, edX, and Kadenze that have reached well over 1.8 million learners; 3. Developed a music business MBA with Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU); 4. Introduced BOCCE: a revolutionary new online learning platform that seamlessly combines educational content with student community and collaboration, 5. has been repeatedly recognized as one of the top innovators in online education. With Debbie at the helm, the online extension school is growing at a rate of more than 25% year over year, and produces a multi million dollar surplus that allows the college to expand scholarship support for students. As a music education publishing veteran, Cavalier has penned 100+ music education methods books and arrangements for Carl Fischer, First Act, Alfred Publishing, and Warner Bros. Publications.
