Professor of Information Systems
University Of Bath is an education management institution that founded in 1966.
Currently, thinking about how technology can be used to influence, inform and persuade people to change their behaviour, and, more specifically, how technology and tools influence behaviour both intentionally and unintentionally. To this end, I'm working on topics related to persuasive design, social network analysis, affordances and choice. More generally, I'm interested in the relationship between new media and communication. This includes work on virtual teams, communication accommodation theory and computational linguistics. I also have a general research stream examining issues of cyber (and other) security from a social psychological perspective, including security compliance and user behaviour, human aspects of cyber-security and influencing via cyberspace.
