Why marketing? Let me tell you a little story… In my teens, I used to buy my clothes mainly from one place. The quality wasn’t great and the prices steep, but still I kept on buying for years. One day it dawned on me…I wasn’t buying the clothes, I was buying the brand and the culture it embraced, a brand that I had unknowingly built an emotional connection with. Then it hit me, that, is the power of marketing! From that point on, my sights were set. So here I am. I’d describe myself as an aspirational and adaptable Marketer, with a passion for forward thinking, focused on highly targeted and relevant marketing to provide exceptional ROI and achieve ultimate business goals. My overarching marketing strategy, wherever I go, is simple – Be EVERYWHERE, at the RIGHT TIME, with the RIGHT MESSAGE, to the RIGHT PEOPLE. Being hands-on and experienced within every aspect of marketing, from; strategic planning & research, to building and executing multi-channel ATL & BTL campaigns, through to analysis and reporting, has given me the capacity to effectively manage in-house marketing teams and outsourced agencies. I am a firm believer, that to be an effective Marketing Manager, the tasks that you set your team, you must also be able to do yourself. Keeping your finger on the pulse, allows you to better understand, plan, deliver and analyse your marketing. Every successful brand starts with one thing, a story. A narrative that helps their target audience understand them and emotionally connect with them. A brand is no different to a person.
