As an IDEO Design Director with a focus on Business Design, I have a passion for understanding markets through a human-centered design approach in order to create new-to-the-world business models and product offerings. At IDEO Tokyo I work with clients to understand their innovation challenges and turn those into bespoke design projects. I lead teams of diverse and outstanding designers and work across a range of mediums from mobile apps to space/environment design to organizational design. And I aim to define and push the edge of what great design is, in and for Japan. With a focus on new venture design and entrepreneurship, I bring my experience as a company co-founder to bear, as well as my experience teaching and coaching Stanford d.school students and executives.
