Words have intrigued me my entire life. For as long as I can remember, I have absorbed books, poems and essays; seeking the thrill I get when excellent writing transports me to a different time or place and makes me feel things for characters that do not exist. As I grew older, I began to notice I could apply that thrill to myself. I discovered I could write things people liked to read, be it an essay for class or an article in the newspaper, and that sparked my dream of being a journalist. In May 2014, I received my degree in journalism with an emphasis in advertising and public relations from the University of Arkansas.
