Also, the, originally top down, physical network will become an ‘energy platform’ with a digital network layer to control energy flows. Connecting local production, storage and demand and integrating different energy carriers, like hydrogen and heat. The energy b2b and b2c markets will transform to a IoT based platform economy, putting the digital customer at the center With my team of 1,700 people, I am responsible for the participation in the political and social environment to develop the energy transition plans and paths, adressing and co-designing government policy and planning and managing the development and maintenance of the energy networks. We are working on a significant expansion of the electricity network. Our investment portfolio is growing from 500 million (5 years ago) to 1.1 billion now, increasing further to 2 billion by 2030. Furthermore, I am responsible for developing the digital and flexible energy system, with a digital network layer to control energy flows, connecting local production, storage and demand and integrating different energy carriers. Next to that we are working on a new market model, with more customer centricity and peer2peer energy exchange. With the digital teams we are working on digital transformation of all processes. From asset investment planning, via engineering to field operations and system operations.
