Air France and KLM are involved in conservation projects: The forest conservation project in Madagascar (PHCF), supported by Air France since 2008 and co-funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) and the French Global Environment Facility (FFEM) contributes to the development of local communities while protecting the biodiversity of the island. As part of its partnership with WWF-NL, KLM financially supports three conservation programs: the Coral Triangle in Indonesia, the Bonaire Marine Park and the APRA program in the Amazon.
Alexandre de Juniac became the seventh person to lead the International Air Transport Association (IATA) when he took on the role of Director General and CEO from 1 September 2016. De Juniac has almost three decades of experience in both the private and public sectors. This includes senior positions in the airline and aerospace industries and the French government.
