Influence and persuasion, also known as marketing, are part science, part art, and mostly alchemy. I am executive vice president, chief marketing officer (and alchemist-in-residence) at Randa Apparel & Accessories, a multinational consumer products business and one of the world's leading fashion and lifestyle companies. I believe that innovation is invention plus invoices. I believe that we cannot navigate a new landscape with old maps. At Randa, I am honored to collaborate with outstanding executives on strategy, P&L, M&A, and transformation. My specialty is identifying and applying actionable insights, data, story-telling, technology, analytics, and behavioral economics to understand and influence consumer behavior. I have oversight of cross-functional teams and agencies across multiple geographies and am responsible for the management of our owned and licensed brand portfolio, consumer insights, intellectual property, and integrated marketing. It is my good fortune to collaborate with remarkable brands including: Levi’s, Haggar, Dickies, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Columbia Sportswear, Cole Haan, Ralph Lauren, and Tommy Bahama. As an alchemist, I transmute marketing into revenues at 20,000 points of sale (and millions of page views) inclusive of Macy’s, Kohl’s, Amazon, Nordstrom, Walmart, Target, Costco, Hudson's Bay, Liverpool, John Lewis, David Jones, Printemps, & El Cortes Ingles. Stimulus and response often derive from sharing great stories, I am privileged to speak in public, co-author a best-selling book, and have published many articles. My words and exploits have been shared in the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, CNN, The New York Times, Business Insider, New York Magazine, Women's Wear Daily, Huffington Post, and other media. Throughout my career, I have been influenced by great companies and leaders, including American Express, Red Cats, QVC, and McKinsey & Company.
