Jeffrey Choi has over 20 years working experience in the capacities of Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Head of Risk Management, in global organisations including Qantas Group, Westpac Bank, News Corp, Coca-Cola and Ericsson. Through this cross industry experience, Jeffrey became a highly adaptable, innovative and strategic leader. He adopts an all-of-business approach to establish and sustain successful Cyber Security, Culture & Risk practices in very complex and challenging business environments. Jeffrey possesses deep technical skills in Cyber security, risk management, IT and business administration. He has excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including with company board and government bodies. Jeffrey is member of key industry committees including Global Aviation IATA Cyber Forum, Government's Joint Industry Advisory Group, CISO-Lens etc. Through these connections, he influences the evolution of industry norms in addressing Cyber risks. Besides work and family, Jeffrey focuses on continuous education. He has completed his Executive MBA from AGSM and Cybersecurity Risk Management from Harvard University, both with excellent grades. — KEY ACHIEVEMENTS — Established and sustained a large scale, multi-stage Cyber Security transformation across the entire Qantas Group including its Airlines, FinTech, Big-Data and Superannuation businesses. Resulted in a strong Cyber Safety Culture led by the board/top executives and formed a Cyber safety-net with peer business functions. Jeffrey has successfully led Qantas Cyber through the extreme business survival challenge to the airlines during COVID. Implemented mass consumer online Cyber protections for more than 10 million online accounts for News Corp subscribers and Qantas Frequent Flyers. And protection of the highly popular digital currency Qantas Points. Led the re-establishment of BASEL regulatory aligned Operational Risk management in Westpac Bank post GFC. Covering Technology functions, key banking applications, data centre and its $3bn Strategic Investment Priority programs. Successfully delivered profitable Security Services (during his Symantec and Ericsson roles) to key customers in the Asia Pacific region. Including a wide range of Security products and managed services.
