Rich Donahue joined Ibotta (“I bought a…”) in 2013, shortly after the launch of the Ibotta app. In the years that followed, he was instrumental in building Ibotta into the nation’s leading cash back rewards platform and Colorado’s first consumer tech “unicorn” ($1B valuation) in the mobile app space. As CMO, Rich oversees all aspects of marketing including developing brand strategy and vision for all of Ibotta’s B2B and B2C marketing efforts. As Ibotta expands its scope to become a leading omnichannel, at-scale performance marketing platform, Rich leads all marketing initiatives to welcome advertisers, publishers, and retail partners into the Ibotta Performance Network. Rich is a natural storyteller, relationship builder, and digital strategist. Transparency, one of Ibotta’s core values, is at the heart of the initiatives that Rich leads. The original vision for the advertising platform was to cut consumers in on the deal, and Rich’s programs extend this spirit to clearly spell out the value proposition Ibotta brings to all stakeholders. Prior to Ibotta, Rich worked in Brand Management with HJ Heinz (now KraftHeinz) and spent years in the advertising industry. He began his career working with Red Bull. Outside of the office, Rich enjoys spending time outside with his kids, and you can often find him on a court or a golf course sharpening his skills.
