Export Development Canada (EDC) is Canada’s export credit agency, offering trade finance, export credit insurance, bonding services, & foreign market expertise.

International business can be pretty complex, so I try to simplify it by following a few key values. DIVERSITY I come from Ireland, and I’ve lived and worked in different cultures. I genuinely love to meet new people, hear new ideas, and learn new things. I think diversity equals opportunity, which is why I’ve worked to help women advance in aviation (IAWA), was a founding member of the diversity committee at Bombardier Aerospace, and am chair of its EDC counterpart. POSITIVITY I have a positive attitude. It just makes sense to me. Every day you have the chance to be a good role model, and negativity is a killer. In my world there are no problems, only solutions I haven’t found yet. TRANSPARENCY With me, what you see is what you get. I’m the same person at office as I am away from it. I think this openness encourages people to participate and find the best solutions. COMMUNITY I have a chronic need to make personal connections, build networks and bring people together. I think this is why I’ve felt comfortable building and managing teams of more than 500 employees. These values are what drive me, and I can use them to help move your business forward, too.
