Jesus Moralez is a Marketing Manager for Eastman’s Plasticizers business. He has held this position since he joined Eastman Chemical Company in March of 2013. While pursuing his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Purdue University, Jesus began his professional career nearly a decade ago with the Canadian National Institute for Nanotechnology in Edmonton, Alberta. In 2005 he joined The DuPont Company as a Research Chemist in Central Research & Development, Wilmington, DE, where he led research initiatives aimed at developing new materials for aerospace, electronics, and filtration. In 2009 he transitioned to the commercial side of innovation and joined a DuPont marketing leadership program, working as a Marketing Consultant in DuPont’s Corporate Marketing and Sales organization. After completing the program he was appointed DuPont’s Global Marketing Leader for the high-performance liquid filtration media business. Jesus enjoys baseball, the outdoors and mentoring students and professionals; he is active in several professional societies including Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native American Scientists (SACNAS), Council for Chemical Research and is certified as a Six-Sigma Black Belt.
