Sally Green was First Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. She had responsibility for the Bank's payments systems, outreach, financial management, information technology and corporate support services. At the national level, Sally chaired the Federal Reserve System’s Conference of Chief Operating Officers. She was also a member of the Financial Services Policy Committee, which sets the strategic direction and oversees the System’s payments services. Prior to joining the Richmond Fed, Sally held various positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston in its payments systems and economic research areas. Currently, Sally serves as a Director on the Cambridge Trust Company and Cambridge Bancorp Boards of Directors. While in Richmond she was Chair of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Richmond’s Board of Directors, served on the Board of the United Way and chaired its Women's Leadership Initiative. An advocate for early childhood development, Sally was a member of the Board of the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation and the Smart Beginnings Greater Richmond Leadership Council. She received the 2012 YWCA Outstanding Woman Award in the Business category. Sally received her bachelor’s degree in economics from Mount Holyoke College and earned a master of science in management from the Sloan School at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She was a member of the Executive Advisory Council of the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond. Sally is married and has two daughters and one son-in-law.
